Building AI That Works for the Real World — Not Just the Codebase
In the tech world, we often say “great code is important, but user experience is everything.” And when it comes to the cleaning industry—where time, trust, and attention to detail are non-negotiable—this couldn’t be more true.
At The CoBuilders, we’re not just building software. We’re building AI for cleaning that puts the people doing the work—cleaners, janitors, and facility pros—at the center. Tools like OpenAI Codex are helping us move faster, but our focus remains fixed on one goal: making technology that’s not just smart, but simple, human, and useful.
Why AI for Cleaning Matters More Than Ever
The cleaning industry is evolving fast. Labor shortages, rising expectations, and competitive pressure are driving change in how residential and commercial cleaning services are delivered. But here’s the gap:
Most cleaning tech is designed for managers, not for the people actually doing the work.
That’s where AI steps in—and where The CoBuilders is leading with innovation grounded in empathy and experience.
Introducing SCRUBGPT: The Future of AI for Cleaning Professionals
At the heart of our AI strategy is SCRUBGPT, a first-of-its-kind AI assistant designed specifically for the cleaning industry. Powered by OpenAI models and built using Codex to streamline development, SCRUBGPT transforms how cleaners manage daily operations, quote jobs, and engage with clients.
With SCRUBGPT, cleaners can:
- Generate instant cleaning quotes
- Create detailed checklists tailored to home or facility types
- Respond to client messages professionally, with one tap
- Track preferences and special requests automatically
- Discover new job opportunities by zip code and demand trends
- Save hours per week on admin and communication
It’s not just AI for cleaning—it’s AI for cleaners.
Why User Experience Is at the Core
As we often tell our engineers: writing smart code is critical. But building intuitive flows that real users can navigate in seconds—that’s where the magic happens.
With Codex helping accelerate technical development, we’re able to reinvest more time in:
- UX research with real cleaning professionals
- Voice-first interfaces that feel like conversation
- Error-proof workflows designed for mobile use
- Clean, distraction-free design that feels empowering
The goal isn’t to replace people. It’s to remove the digital friction between them and their next great job, happy client, or growing business.
How AI Is Changing the Game for Cleaning Teams
Here’s where we see AI for cleaning having the biggest impact:
1. Smarter Scheduling
AI assistants can learn cleaner availability, location, and preferences—automatically filling calendar gaps with matched jobs.
2. Real-Time Communication
SCRUBGPT can auto-generate professional updates, follow-ups, and service reminders without interrupting the workday.
3. Training & Onboarding
Imagine new cleaners learning protocols and safety standards in real time via conversational AI. No PDFs, no confusion.
4. Predictive Maintenance & Supply Management
For commercial cleaning teams, AI can track usage patterns and notify managers before issues arise or supplies run low.
What’s Next: AI That Feels Like a Partner
At The CoBuilders, we don’t believe AI should feel like “software.” It should feel like a teammate who’s always one step ahead, taking care of the little things so you can focus on doing great work.
That’s why we’re investing in technologies like Codex—not to replace what’s human, but to build tech that gets out of the way and just works.
We’re not building for the most advanced user. We’re building for the most essential one: the cleaner, the janitor, the facility pro who’s short on time and long on responsibility.
